Dear Lara

Your story began just 18 weeks ago and yesterday we found out your gender. Regardless of this information, you will always be called Lara because your daddy has called you that for almost as long as we’ve known you. Our little Lara.

I’ve been meaning to write to you for some time now, but it’s hard to know what to say at the start, I suppose the beginning is a good place but I’m sure I’ll get to that. Last weekend I went for lunch with Granny RaRa and she told me stories about when she was pregnant woth me. I thought it was so lovely and made me feel so happy that I knew I definitely had to start this blog.

I sing to you a lot, you poor soul, usually when we’re in the car and a lot of the time it’s Disney music. Daddy and I were listening to Coldplay last night and you seemed to be enjoying it. It’s really quite a strange but magical feeling, you wriggling about inside me. You’re definitely growing and getting stronger by the day. You also seem to be a fan of the Jackson 5, peanut butter and fruit too, especially apples and strawberries. I hope that sticks as they’re all pretty good for you. Brocolli is brilliant, we eat that pretty much everyday.

I love it when Daddy touches my belly and talks to you, and it seems like you do too because you get wonderfully calm. You’re going to love him more than anyone else, I just know it. He is the kindest, sweetest man and he will always make you laugh. He will be cheif story teller with all his silly voices. it already melts my heart picturing you both together, all snuggled up.

I love you more every single day and I’m looking forward to sharing stories of your time in my tummy with you, and the rest.

All my love

Mummy

Xx
